Public Consultation on AI Use and Transparent Contribution Disclosure via the GAIDeT Taxonomy

Berdyansk State Pedagogical University invites public consultation on a series of regulatory documents concerning the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in research and the educational process, as well as the transparent disclosure of AI contributions.

The following four documents have been published on Zenodo for discussion:

  1. BSPU Policy on the Use of AI in Research. Draft.
    https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17076909
  2. Recommendations for Authors and Editors on Transparent AI Contribution Disclosure (GAIDeT).
    https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.16941301
  3. Draft Regulation on the Use of AI in the Educational Process of BSPU.
    https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17077027
  4. Instruction on Using the GAIDeT Declaration Generator in the Educational Process.

Core Principles

These documents are based on modern international standards and aim to combine the innovative potential of AI with fundamental academic values. Key principles include:

  • Accountability. AI cannot be an author or co-author; responsibility for created content always lies with the human.
  • Transparency. Every use of AI must be disclosed in a standardized form (GAIDeT Declaration).
  • Academic integrity and assessment validity. Assignments and evaluation formats must remain fair and objective.
  • Confidentiality and data protection. Personal or institutional data must not be entered into open AI services.
  • Inclusiveness. AI may serve as an assistive tool for students with special educational needs.
  • Openness and sustainability. The documents are integrated within the framework of open science and oriented toward supporting sustainable development

The principles of transparent AI contribution disclosure are detailed in the article:
Suchikova, Y., Tsybuliak, N., Teixeira da Silva, J. A., & Nazarovets, S. (2025). GAIDeT (Generative AI Delegation Taxonomy): A taxonomy for humans to delegate tasks to generative artificial intelligence in scientific research and publishing. Accountability in Research.
