On the occasion of the Holodomor Remembrance Day, an educational event dedicated to one of the most tragic pages in the history of the Ukrainian people was held at the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Human Health. The aim of the event was to honor the memory of the millions of Ukrainians who perished as a result of the artificially created famine of 1932–1933, as well as to foster national consciousness, historical memory, and respect for the past among higher education students.

The event was moderated by the Deputy Dean for Educational Work, Natalia Kryvun, who emphasized the importance of preserving historical truth and passing it on to younger generations. She noted that such activities help students gain a deeper understanding of the tragedy’s scale and of the significance of remembering it for contemporary Ukraine.

The hosts of the event were active representatives of the Student Government of the Faculty: Oleksandra Bartoshevych, Khrystyna Omelchenko, and Daria Khorolets. They spoke about the causes of the Holodomor, the artificial nature of this catastrophe, the suffering of millions, and the way these events shaped the historical development of Ukraine.

After the event, Nataliia Pshenychna, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Biology, Human Health and Physical Rehabilitation, addressed the audience. She thanked the organizers and participants for an interesting, meaningful, and important event. She stressed that such initiatives contribute to the formation of responsible citizenship and help young people comprehend the past in order to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
