Students of specialties A4.11 Secondary Education (Physical Education) and A7 Physical Education and Sports (first and second levels of higher education), as well as teachers of the Department of Physical Education, Sports and Teaching Methods took part in the training “Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity: How Not to Cross the Line of Permissibility”, organized by the Commission on Ethics and Academic Integrity of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.
During the event, participants took part in a discussion of the regulatory aspects of the use of AI in education and science, the features of its application in scientific works, as well as university rules regulating the correct and ethical use of digital technologies.
Students and teachers joined practical discussions dedicated to the responsible use of AI when creating methodological materials, course and qualification papers. Special attention was paid to the issues of preventing plagiarism, correct citation and conscious attitude to automatically generated content.
Participation in the training was an important step in raising the level of academic culture of students and strengthening the professional ethics of future physical education teachers and trainers.
For teachers of the department, this is an opportunity to improve pedagogical approaches and integrate modern digital tools into the educational process, adhering to the principles of honesty, openness and academic integrity.
