The round table “Light of the Future: Alternative Energy”

On December 12, 2025, the Department of Vocational Education and Technology of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Technology Education held a round table discussion entitled “Light of the Future: Alternative Energy” for 1st-4th year students majoring in A5 Vocational Education (Energy, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics).

The opening speech was given by Viktoriia Zhyhir, guarantor of the educational program “Vocational Education. Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation,” who spoke about the history and features of training future specialists in the specialty A5 Vocational Education (Energy, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics) at BSPU, stakeholders, and the achievements of students and teachers (prizes in Olympiads and competitions in Ukraine and abroad).

Leading experts from the Zaporizhzhia-based electric power company Solar Flow, Ivan Nurmambetov and Sergey Kablov, told students about the specifics of solar energy in Ukraine, how solar power plants work, and shared their experience and various practical aspects of installing solar panels.

The students actively and eagerly joined in the discussion of issues related to the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar panels, and asked questions.
