«The Song Will Be Among Us»: Applicants for the specialty A4.13 Secondary Education (Art. Musical Art) attended a guest lecture

On March 3, 2026, the Department of Content and Technologies of Pedagogical Education of the Ivan Zyazyun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held an online guest lecture «A Song Will Be Among Us: Reflections on the Work of Volodymyr Ivasyuk» as part of a series of educational webinars and online guest lectures “The Flower of Ukrainian Pedagogy: Modern and Past” dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant composer.

The lecture was attended by students of the first and second levels of higher education in the specialty A4.13 Secondary Education (Art. Music) together with teachers.

Those present learned about interesting moments of the composer’s life and work from invited speakers – Halyna Ivasyuk (neurologist at the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University), Oksana Ivasyuk (Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Literature at the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University), Natalia Kolesnichenko-Bratun (diplomat, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine).

Volodymyr Ivasyuk’s songs are very popular today, they are known by young people, they are sung by modern performers. The vocal repertoire of every applicant of the Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching Artistic Disciplines includes works by Volodymyr Ivasyuk, because they are a symbol of national identity and self-awareness, and today – indomitability and struggle.
