Can university learning be dynamic, exciting, and at the same time deeply meaningful?
The experience of organizing the speech therapy quest “Logostart” proved that it certainly can. This format became an excellent opportunity to bring together first- and second-year students of the 016, A6 Special Education program in a shared intellectual and professional challenge.

“Logostart” is not just a game. It is a format in which theoretical knowledge begins to work in practice.

The participants formed teams —“Posipaky” and “Speech Witch”—and step by step completed a series of tasks that required attentiveness to speech, quick thinking, logic, and creativity. The students identified words by articulation, worked with speech therapy terminology, created stories from given words, analyzed speech situations, and searched for non-standard solutions. Each task became a small professional challenge that had to be solved together.

A particularly valuable aspect of this format was the live team interaction. Participants actively discussed ideas, suggested different answers, supported one another, and collaboratively searched for the best solutions. In such moments, not only the excitement of competition emerges but also a sense of professional community, where it is important to listen to others, justify one’s ideas, and work toward a shared result. The atmosphere of the event combined genuine interest, positive emotions, and healthy intellectual excitement.

The speech therapy quest “Logostart” became a vivid example of how modern interactive formats can complement traditional learning. After all, the path to professional mastery begins not only with textbooks and lectures but also with practical challenges, teamwork, and the desire to explore the profession more deeply.

And it seems that for many future specialists in Special Education, this start has truly been a successful one.
