On March 15, 2026, an online meeting of the working group of the Secondary Education (Musical Art and English) EP of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education with stakeholders and members of the Employers’ Council of the specialty A4.13 Secondary Education (Art. Musical Art) was held. The event was dedicated to discussing the draft EPP 2026 and determining the prospects for its further improvement, taking into account modern labor market requirements, employer needs, and development trends in the art education industry.
The meeting was attended by external stakeholders and members of the Employers’ Council – Tetyana Furmanova – Head of the Education Department of the Executive Committee of the Berdyansk City Council; Volodymyr Hreb – director of Berdyansk Gymnasium No. 16 of the Berdyansk City Council of Zaporizhia region; Yuriy Bilay – director of Berdyansk Gymnasium No. 7 “Meotyda” of the Berdyansk City Council of Zaporizhia region; Lyudmila Sluzhava – Deputy Director for Educational Work of the Berdyansk Gymnasium “Harmony”; Kristina Legostayeva – director of the Municipal Cultural Institution “Dniprovsk Children’s Music School No. 1”; Valeria Turovets – co-founder of the music studio “Voxy Studio” in Zaporizhzhia, graduate of the 2024 OP; Karina Smyrnova – art teacher at the Bogdaniv Lyceum of the Bogdaniv Village Council, Pavlohrad District, Dnipropetrovsk Region; Khrystyna Bondarenko – art teacher at the Berdyansk Gymnasium “Perlyna” of the Berdyansk City Council of the Zaporizhia region; Olga Maslyanka is the deputy director for educational work of the Municipal Municipal Institution of Culture “Dnipro Children’s Music School No. 10”, as well as the working group of the EP. All participants of the event completed a preliminary questionnaire and expressed comments and recommendations regarding the content of the draft EP 2026.
During the discussion, it was noted that the draft EPP 2026 meets modern requirements for the training of future teachers of art disciplines, is relevant from the perspective of the needs of the modern labor market, and contains all the necessary structural components.
Particular attention was paid to the English-language ECs of the educational program and the feasibility of reallocating credits towards performance components in order to strengthen the relevant component of the program. Stakeholders also made recommendations on expanding opportunities for practical work. In particular, the importance of introducing English-language content in art lessons and the maximum active use of digital technologies and various digital art tools in the educational process was emphasized. This will contribute to improving the acquired competencies of applicants and ensuring a high-quality and effective educational process.
Such dialogue with stakeholders ensures that the interests of all stakeholders are taken into account, the opportunity to influence the content and outcome of the educational process, and focuses on the needs of the main group of stakeholders – higher education students.
