On 23 March 2025, a working group meeting brought together guarantors and academic staff from three universities to collaborate on the development of educational programmes across several specialisations.
The meeting was attended by academic staff from Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko, and Nizhyn Mykola Gogol State University.
The central focus of the meeting was the improvement of existing educational programmes. Representatives from Berdyansk State Pedagogical University presented their proposals concerning three programmes offered by the Department of Foreign Languages and Teaching Methods: the Bachelor’s programme “Secondary Education (English Language and Literature)”, the Bachelor’s programme “Philology (Germanic Languages and Literatures (Translation included), First – English, Second – German)”, and the Master’s programme “Secondary Education (Language and Literature (English))”. Colleagues from partner universities, in turn, shared their experience of enhancing educational programmes in related fields of study.
Participants discussed the relevance of compulsory course components, options for elective disciplines, and opportunities for academic mobility of students. The wording of competencies and programme learning outcomes (PLOs) was also refined in line with current higher education standards.
This inter-university collaboration contributes to the continuous improvement of educational programme quality and ensures their alignment with the evolving needs of the teaching profession.
