Faculty members and students of the Management specialty at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University participated in the webinar “HR and Recruiting from Scratch: A Step-by-Step Plan for Success in the Profession”, organized by Genius.Space, which took place on March 26, 2026.

The webinar attendance was part of the course “Human Resource Management in Hotel, Resort and Tourism Enterprises” and was aimed at deepening students’ practical knowledge of modern approaches to human resource management, recruiting, and building effective HR strategies.

The speaker of the webinar was Анна Соловей, an HR manager with over 8 years of experience in the corporate sector, including work at PZU Ukraine, Forbes Ukraine, ОМП, and Polikam Hi-Tech.

During the webinar, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the specifics of HR and recruiter roles, their functional differences, and their relevance in the labor market in 2026. Particular attention was paid to career development in HR, presenting a step-by-step career path from sourcing specialist to HR Director, including key competencies, required skills, and approximate salary levels.

The interactive test “HR Manager DNA” attracted significant interest, enabling participants to assess their professional aptitudes and the level of development of essential competencies. The webinar also addressed the interaction between humans and artificial intelligence in HR processes, outlining which functions can be automated and which remain exclusively within the human domain.

Additionally, participants received practical recommendations on how to secure a first job without prior experience, including tips on building a competitive CV, developing soft skills, and using internships as a starting point for professional growth.

The webinar was attended by faculty members of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance – Olena Tokarenko, Viktoriia Shvachko, Kateryna Lemish – as well as students, who had the opportunity to explore modern recruitment tools, career pathways in HR, and real-world case studies from industry professionals.

The knowledge and practical insights gained will contribute to improving the quality of professional training, enhancing students’ competencies in human resource management, and shaping a modern understanding of HR functioning in hotel, resort, and tourism enterprises.
