On the basis of the Faculty of Preschool, Special and Social Education, through the efforts of 2nd-4th year students of specialty 016, A6 Special Education, under the guidance of experienced lecturers from the Department of Applied Psychology and Speech Therapy, the Educational Speech Therapy Laboratory continues to operate actively.

The activities of the Laboratory are aimed at developing practical skills and competencies of higher education students; forming professionally significant qualities for future self-realization; mastering modern technologies of psychological-pedagogical and social activities; developing skills for productive interaction with children and their parents; and obtaining experimental material for writing scientific papers.

It is gratifying that the number of students who show initiative and willingness to provide corrective and developmental assistance to children of early, preschool, and primary school age with various speech disorders is growing.

As the higher education students working in the Educational Speech Therapy Laboratory themselves note, the corrective work of a speech therapist is very interesting, engaging, diverse, productive, and useful, especially when working together with mentor supervisors – lecturers of the Department of Applied Psychology and Speech Therapy. This is an invaluable, active, and creative experience for our youngest students who are interested in their chosen profession – future specialists in the field of Special Education.
