At the European Taekwondo Championship held in Davos, Switzerland, 17-year-old Oleksandra Yavorshchuk distinguished herself with an impressive performance. Competing as part of the Song’s Taekwon-Do team, the athlete achieved an exceptional result, winning three gold medals and one bronze medal.
The tournament, organized by Taekwon-Do International Switzerland under the leadership of Grand Master Renato Marni, 7th Dan, has a long-standing history and has been held since 1984. This year, the competition once again brought together a strong international field in the Swiss Alps, with more than 700 participants from 11 countries.
In the patterns competition, Oleksandra Yavorshchuk immediately made her mark by taking first place thanks to a technically flawless performance. This successful start became a strong foundation for the team’s further achievements.
The athlete was equally convincing in the sparring events. In the Point Fighting discipline, where the bout is stopped after each accurate strike, Oleksandra Yavorshchuk won another gold medal in her category. Her teammate Eve Bischof also took first place.
Yavorshchuk earned another medal in the Tag Team event. Together with Veronika Kuchma and a Swiss athlete, she won a bronze medal.
Particularly impressive was Oleksandra’s performance in Running-Time Fighting, where the bout continues without interruption and requires maximum endurance from the competitors. It was in this discipline that she claimed another victory, proving that she is equally strong in both technical and contact events.

Oleksandra Yavorshchuk’s success in Davos became a vivid confirmation of her talent, perseverance, and high level of preparation.
