On April 22, 2026, as part of teaching practice, a meeting was held for students on the topic “Strength Training in the System of Physical Preparation for a Chosen Sport: From Practice to Analysis.”
The speaker of the event was Spartak Mashchenkov, a practitioner coach and a 2018 graduate of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Human Health of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University. Throughout his professional development, he has continuously improved his expertise, completed specialized training courses, actively participated in educational events, and repeatedly assisted in organizing both in-person and online meetings for students.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to become acquainted with the practical aspects of designing strength training within the system of athletes’ physical preparation, as well as to engage in its professional analysis. The focus was placed on identifying the purpose of the training session, distinguishing its main stages, analyzing key exercises, assessing whether the training load corresponded to the athlete’s level of preparedness, and considering possible changes and additions to the structure of the training session.
Particular interest was generated by the live discussion format, within which students not only observed the logic behind the construction of a strength training session, but also had the opportunity to express their own opinions, ask questions to the coach, and analyze the training process from the perspective of their future professional activity.
An important addition to the meeting was learning about the speaker’s professional path and sporting achievements. Spartak Mashchenkov is a prize-winner of regional and national CrossFit competitions, as well as a prize-winner and champion of team competitions such as Race Nation and Spartan Race. His practical experience, high level of professional preparation, and continuous professional growth became an important motivational example for the students.
The event became an important component of the practical training of future specialists in the field of physical culture and sports, as it contributed to the integration of theoretical knowledge with practice, the development of analytical thinking, and the formation of professional competencies necessary for future work.
We sincerely thank Spartak Mashchenkov for the meaningful meeting, openness to professional dialogue, and valuable practical experience he shared with the students.
