English Movie Club for Foreign Language Week

On 5 May, as part of Foreign Language Week, Volodymyr Tatarin, lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages and Teaching Methods, organized and held an English Movie Club session for students of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.

During the session, the students watched and discussed an episode of Young Sheldon, “An Eagle Feather, a String Bean, and an Eskimo.” The episode raises the issues of educational choice, giftedness, a child’s emotional readiness for change, and the role of family support.

The students worked with vocabulary from the episode, completed comprehension tasks, analyzed the emotions and decisions of the characters, and discussed the issues presented in the episode.

The event contributed to the development of listening, speaking, critical thinking, and the ability to express and justify one’s opinion in English.
