On May 26, 2026, another meeting of the scientific club “Current Issues of Economics and Finance” was held, organized by the Department of Economics, Management and Finance of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University. The topic of the meeting was “Seasonality as a Driver of Economic and Financial Processes.” During the event, participants discussed modern approaches to the study of seasonal economic fluctuations, their impact on business activities, financial performance, the functioning of financial markets, and investment processes. Particular attention was paid to the use of digital technologies, Big Data, and artificial intelligence for analyzing and forecasting seasonal trends in the modern economy.

During the meeting, participants examined relevant examples from the activities of international companies, as well as the specifics of seasonality in e-commerce, financial markets, and consumer behavior in the digital environment. The discussion also covered the importance of seasonal analysis for strategic planning, financial management, and risk management under conditions of economic instability. Special emphasis was placed on the practical significance of modern forecasting methods for business and the financial sector.

The topic of the meeting is highly relevant for students of the educational and professional programs “Finance, Banking and Insurance” and “Business Economics,” as it contributes to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of the modern economy, financial planning, investment activities, and forecasting of market changes. Participation in the scientific club promotes the development of analytical thinking, practical skills in working with economic information, and the preparation of future professionals for work in a dynamic economic environment.

The scientific club supervisor, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance Ganna Kostenko, emphasized the importance of studying seasonal processes in the modern economy and the necessity of implementing innovative analytical tools in financial and economic management practices.
