As part of the Science Festival 2026 at BSPU, a meeting of the scientific section of the academic staff of the Department of Psychology, Faculty of PPOM, was held on the topic “Psychological Features of Designing Life Competence of Modern Youth.” The event served as a platform for discussing relevant aspects of this issue, presenting research findings, and exchanging professional experience.
During the meeting, participants focused on the structure of an individual’s life competence (Assoc. Prof. Nataliia Serdiuk), psychological tools for its research (Senior Lecturer Viktoriia Fedoryk), art therapy support in designing life competence (Assoc. Prof. Yevheniia Kocherha), and the development of environmental awareness among young people (PhD in Psychology Oksana Strilchuk).
Special attention was paid to the development of youth life competence during wartime aggression and constructive coping with crisis situations (Assoc. Prof. Iryna Cherezova), as well as the implementation of the academic achievements of faculty members into the educational process of training future psychologists (Assoc. Prof. Tetiana Makarova, Senior Lecturer Hanna Lysak, Assistant Kateryna Saprankova).
In addition, the department’s academic staff presented their own scientific achievements and activities, including participation in conferences, seminars, webinars, professional development programs, scholarly publications, and supervision of students’ research work.
The meeting of the scientific section of the Department of Psychology is an important component of academic activity that contributes to the scientific development of the staff, improvement of the quality of the educational process, and professional growth of lecturers.
