The first weeks of university studies are always a special period. New subjects, instructors, class formats, requirements, and countless organizational details to get used to. For first-year students, it is also a time of adaptation: they must simultaneously navigate the educational process and find their place among new classmates.
In such conditions, it is important to have the opportunity not only to study, but also to relax, socialize, and take a break from academic pressure. It was with this goal in mind that the Student Council of the Faculty of Psychological, Pedagogical Education and Arts at BSPU organized an informal meeting for first-year students called FRESHMAN CONNECT.
In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, students had the chance to talk about topics they wouldn’t always discuss with their instructors, get to know each other better, and share their impressions of the first weeks of student life.
Events like this play an important role in shaping the faculty’s student community: it is through genuine communication, shared interests, and mutual support that first-year students gradually become part of a unified community.
FRESHMAN CONNECT is a space for making connections and the beginning of new student stories.
