Future educators gain their first teaching experience

On the eve of Preschool Education Day, students from group 202D (Specialty 012: Preschool Education) visited Kyiv Special Preschool Educational Institution No. 611, a compensatory-type facility (Director: Oksana Lynnyk).

The visit was organized by Alla Omelianenko, an Associate Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education, as part of the “Pedagogical Practice in Early-Age Groups (Instructional)” program; it offered an excellent opportunity to observe the work in early-age groups not only in theory but also directly from the inside.

Director Oksana Lynnyk conducted an in-person tour, which students also joined online. During the tour, the students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the organization of the institution’s key structural units: group rooms for toddlers, the medical office, and the methodological office. The students were genuinely impressed by the professionalism, creativity, warmth, and love for children evident in every detail. The design of the playgrounds and play areas within the shelter sparked particular interest.

The students noted that, alongside all the essentials, each group has its own unique features. For future educators, this day served as a genuine professional immersion; it enriched their understanding of how the educational process is organized in a modern preschool and offered a valuable opportunity to witness the daily work involved in creating a safe, developmental, creative, and welcoming environment for young children.
