First-year students from the faculty of physical culture, sports, and human health attend online tour of the BSPU library

On September 25, 2026, an introductory tour of the Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (BSPU) library was held for first-year bachelor’s and master’s students from the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Human Health.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for first-year students to familiarize themselves with the university library’s modern resources and digital capabilities.

Lead Librarian Halyna Potapenko conducted a tour of the BSPU Library website. She demonstrated the library’s key sections and services and provided a step-by-step guide on how to access the BSPU repository, search by keywords, author, or title, locate necessary academic materials, and use them when preparing their own coursework and research projects.

Iryna Filon, Head of the Reader Services Department, introduced a selection of informational and academic resources useful for study and research activities. She showcased the library’s virtual exhibitions, which feature thematic collections of books, academic publications, and other informational materials.

Librarian Olha Parapanova spoke about the facilities of the physical BSPU library branch in Zaporizhzhia, which continues to provide higher education students with essential informational and educational resources. Students learned about the available collections and options for working with the literature. The online meeting format allowed first-year students even from a distance to feel like part of the university’s educational environment and gain the necessary guidance for their future studies.

Such events foster information and digital literacy among students, develop skills for independent information research and critical analysis, and help them make effective use of university resources from their very first months of study.

For the first-year students, this was more than just a library tour; it was an introduction to the capabilities of the modern information and research environment at BDPU – resources that will prove valuable throughout their entire course of study.
