On October 15, 2026, the Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Preschool, Special, and Social Education at BSPU (Berdiansk State Pedagogical University) hosted a meeting titled “Conference Abstracts Without the Panic: From Idea to Scientific Publication.” The event featured Kateryna Surelo, a student pursuing a Master’s degree.
During the meeting, participants explored the key stages of preparing conference abstracts: selecting a topic, defining the research objective, structuring the content, and formatting the text. Special attention was given to searching for scholarly sources, working with literature, and properly citing the work of other authors.
Kateryna Surelo shared practical tips on writing abstracts, explaining how to present ideas coherently and avoid common pitfalls. Practical examples helped participants better understand the requirements for academic writing and the preparation of materials for conferences.
This event was part of the Council of Young Scientists’ ongoing efforts to support student research initiatives and foster academic writing skills. The meeting helped participants view the journey from initial concept to final publication as a series of concrete, manageable steps.
