Choreography Scholars of BSPU Take Part in the All-Ukrainian Conference on Arts Education

On October 22-23, 2026, Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University hosted the VIII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, “Artistic Practices and Arts Education in the Cross-Cultural Space of Modernity.” The Department of Choreography and Fitness of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University was one of the co-organizers of the event.

The conference brought together researchers, educators, and representatives of arts education to discuss pressing issues of cultural heritage preservation, the development of arts pedagogy, and the search for answers to today’s challenges.

The first day, October 22, began with an official opening ceremony and a plenary session. Yuliia Taranenko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Choreography and Fitness at BSPU, delivered a report titled “The Level of Resilience of Future Creative Professionals under Martial Law: Results of an Empirical Study.”

The department’s team also joined the conference online: Inna Tereshko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor; senior lecturers Viktoriia Oleniak and Maryna Kozubenko; and students of the “Choreography” educational program from different years and forms of study. Their participation demonstrated the university academic community’s interest in current trends in the development of choreographic art and arts education.

Such meetings create a space for exchanging scientific ideas, reflecting on contemporary challenges, and seeking approaches that can be applied in educational practice. The Department of Choreography and Fitness of BSPU will continue to take part in the scientific dialogue aimed at developing arts education, supporting future professionals, and preserving the creative potential of Ukrainian society.
