On October 27, our university hosted an exceptionally useful and practical event titled “Academic Integrity: From Source to Publication.” The session was conducted by university library specialists, with history students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities—both undergraduates and master’s students—as the primary audience.
For aspiring historians, working with primary sources, archives, and scholarly literature is the cornerstone of their profession. That is why the issue of integrity is, for them, not merely a formal rule, but the very foundation of their academic reputation.
The librarians prepared a comprehensive and accessible program for the students, breaking down the most complex aspects of writing research papers. The session took the form of an engaging, interactive dialogue. Bachelor’s students learned how to prepare their first term papers without unnecessary stress, while master’s students had the opportunity to clarify intricate details regarding the citation of rare sources for their master’s theses.
We extend our sincere thanks to the library team for this valuable intensive course. We hope that the knowledge gained will help every participant navigate the entire process—from sourcing materials to the successful defense of their work—with confidence.
