On November 17, a solemn initiation ceremony for the freshmen of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, Computer, and Technological Education (FFMTCE), titled «A Journey into Student Life», took place. The event, held in an online format, gathered students, lecturers, and guests on a shared virtual platform.
The celebration began with a warm greeting, emphasizing the special significance of student years–a time of discovery, new knowledge, and adventures. Following the ceremonial anthem, a crucial moment of gratitude was extended to the defenders for providing the opportunity to study and teach. The freshmen were invited to embark on a journey with seven symbolic online stops.
At the «Circle of Acquaintance» station, students watched a video about themselves, fostering a sense of unity despite the distance. Next, at the «Faculty DNA» station, attendees actively used a QR code to generate a dynamic «Word Cloud,» where associations with the Faculty dominated. The interactive session continued at the «EmojiCode» station, where students quickly guessed specializations by submitting answers via chat, and tested their knowledge in the «Student Life Quiz» on the Genially platform.
The climax, conducted in a highly solemn manner, was the «Solemn Promise» station. The freshmen, confirming their readiness to become part of the student community, recited the «Freshman Oath» from their screens, officially becoming students. Following this, they received predictions for the upcoming exam session.
The final stop was the «Finish Beam.» The Dean of the Faculty, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Viktoriia Ivanivna Zhyhir, addressed the students with welcoming remarks and congratulations on Student Day. She recognized the most talented students and concluded the successful online initiation.
