In September and early October, the Academy of Ukrainian Press, with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine, organized a webinar titled “Idea and Script Generation with AI: Automating Creativity and Scaling Success.” Lecturers of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University – Roman Kostromytskyi, Yuliia Melnikova, Nataliia Rula, and Anzhelika Shulzhenko – took part in the training and received certificates of completion.

The speakers of the training were Maksym Zaporozhchenko, Media Education Program Manager at the Academy of Ukrainian Press and Head of the Center for Digital Education and Media Culture at the Mykolaiv In-Service Teacher Training Institute, and Andrii Yurychko, media trainer, journalist, PhD in Philology, and lecturer at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

During the engaging online sessions, participants explored new opportunities for integrating artificial intelligence into educational and creative practices. The speakers shared practical advice on using AI tools for media content creation, script development, and enhancing creative processes in journalism education. In particular, they discussed the principles of working with large language models (LLMs) in the realities of 2025, demonstrated interactive presentations of complex content, collaborated in groups to create educational materials, examined AI tools for solving practical tasks, and learned how to craft effective prompts, build prompt chains, and overcome model limitations.

The training became a valuable platform for experience exchange and inspiration, as modern technologies open new horizons for teachers and students who strive to combine humanitarian knowledge with innovative approaches.

The Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism expresses sincere gratitude to the Academy of Ukrainian Press for its consistently engaging and informative educational events that motivate participants to evolve in step with technological change. Both lecturers and students of the Bachelor’s program in Journalism are regular participants in such online meetings, as they not only broaden professional knowledge and skills but also foster modern, innovation-oriented thinking and strengthen cooperation between educators and media practitioners.
