Creativity begins where we allow ourselves to think differently. This idea was the starting point of the workshop “Creativity Without Limits: Thinking Outside the Box”, organized by the Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts at BSPU. The speaker was Maryna Kononenko, member of the Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty, and a master’s student in Primary Education.
During the session, participants realized that creativity is not an innate talent but a skill that can be developed. Through interactive exercises, unconventional tasks, and collaborative work, they learned to think more broadly, step beyond the usual, and find new solutions.
Practical tasks, in which students and teachers generated ideas, reimagined the functions of everyday objects, and created their own creative stories, drew particular interest. This format allowed everyone to feel that creativity is about freedom of thought, curiosity, and a willingness to experiment.
Workshop participants concluded that the ability to think outside the box is an essential component of the professional training of a modern teacher. Creativity is about courage. It is born in the freedom of thought and transforms everyday life into a source of inspiration.
