On March 9, 2026, the Department of Economics, Management and Finance of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University organized a meeting with stakeholders aimed at discussing and monitoring the Educational and Professional Program (EPP) “Finance, Banking and Insurance” of the first (Bachelor’s) and second (Master’s) levels of higher education. The event was held in an online format using modern communication technologies.
Holding such meetings is an important component of the internal quality assurance system in higher education and is aimed at improving the content of educational programs in accordance with modern labor market requirements, the needs of employers, and the current trends in the development of the financial sector.
Representatives of employers were invited to participate in the discussion, including those from financial institutions, local government bodies, enterprises (organizations), graduates of the specialty, and other stakeholders directly involved in professional activities in the field of finance, banking, and insurance.
Among the invited participants were: Inna Komarova – Expert on Local Economic Development at the Association of Ukrainian Cities, representative of the NGO “Mits Azova”; Natalia Kryvoruchko – PhD in Economics, Advisor to the Head of the Berdiansk District State Administration; Head of the Council on Internally Displaced Persons at the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration; Head of the NGO “Locator-Media”; Tetiana Kiriushenkova – former Deputy Manager of Branch No. 10007/0339 of JSC “Oschadbank”; former Deputy Chief Accountant of “Sorter-Pak” LLC; Halyna Kopylova – Chief Specialist of the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Berdiansk District State Administration; Oleksandra Maslova – Director of the Berdiansk Branch of the Zaporizhzhia Main Directorate of JSC Insurance Company “ARX”; Oleh Holovko – Manager of Branch No. 10026/090 of JSC “Oschadbank” (Kyiv); Anzhela Kulikova – Head of the Retail Business Sector of the Branch of JSC “Oschadbank” (Novodnistrovsk, Chernivtsi region).
Particular attention should be paid to the active participation of graduates of the specialty “Finance, Banking and Insurance” (“Finance and Credit”) in discussing the educational programs. Among them were: Olena Hohunska – Financial Director of “UKRKART EKVAIR” LLC (Kyiv); Iryna Vasylieva – Head of Retail Business at Desnianske Branch No. 4 of JSC “Raiffeisen Bank” (Kyiv); Valeriia Zlatieva – Head of the Development Department, Financial Economist at PE “Shliakh do Mrii.O.K.” (Kyiv); Dmytro Savva – Leading Specialist in Public Procurement and Supplier Registry Formation at the State Institution “Professional Procurement”, Leading Public Procurement Specialist at the CPO Branch of SE “Ukrainian Special Systems” (Kyiv); Mariia Dudkina – Accountant at “Domkomfortbud” LLC (Zaporizhzhia); Tetiana Lukianchuk – Store Manager at “Numis” LLC (Lutsk).
The event was also attended by representatives of the academic staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, including the Dean of the Faculty, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Maryna Bohdanova, the Head of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Kateryna Lemish, as well as lecturers of the department, guarantors and members of the EPP working group, and students enrolled in the mentioned educational programs.
During the meeting, members of the working group informed the participants about the structure and content of the Educational and Professional Program “Finance, Banking and Insurance”, the specifics of the organization of the educational process, as well as the results of the previous monitoring and updating of the program. Particular attention was paid to the issues of developing professional competencies of students, strengthening the practical component of training future specialists, integrating modern information technologies into the educational process, and ensuring the compliance of educational components with the requirements of the modern financial market.
During the discussion, stakeholders had the opportunity to express their suggestions and recommendations for improving the EPP. In particular, attention was focused on the need for further development of the practical training of students, expansion of cooperation with employers, updating the content of certain educational components, and taking into account current trends in the development of the financial system.
The proposals and recommendations received will be considered by the working group and taken into account in the further updating of the Educational and Professional Program “Finance, Banking and Insurance” at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels of higher education.
Holding such meetings contributes to the development of partnership interaction between the university, employers, graduates, and students, which is an important prerequisite for improving the quality of the educational process and training competitive specialists in the field of finance, banking, insurance, and the financial market.
