Discussion of the educational and professional program “Physical Culture and Sports” (Master’s level): dialogue with stakeholders

As part of ensuring the quality of higher education and improving educational programs, a stakeholder meeting was held to discuss the draft educational and professional program “Physical Culture and Sports” of the second (Master’s) level in the specialty A7 Physical Culture and Sports for 2026.

The guarantor of the educational and professional program is Professor Serhiy Kushniriuk, who coordinates the process of its update in accordance with modern industry requirements.

Leading industry experts joined the discussion of the draft EPP, in particular: Head of the Department of Physical Education and Health of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Liliya Tomich; Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Sports of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Diana Bermudez.

The academic community took an active part in developing proposals for the OPP project, in particular, associate professors of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Teaching Methods of the BSPU Natalia Samsutina, Lyudmila Konovalska, Natalia Polishchuk, senior lecturer of the Department of Choreography and Fitness Kyrylo Ponomarenko, who in a professional discussion provided meaningful proposals for improving the educational and professional program.

A significant contribution to the discussion of the OPP project was made by representatives of employers, which allowed taking into account the current needs of the labor market, requirements for professional training of physical culture and sports specialists.

Applicants for higher education in this program and its graduates joined the discussion of the project, which provided a comprehensive approach to assessing the quality of the educational program.

During the event, key aspects of the OPP project “Physical Culture and Sports” for 2026 were discussed, in particular:

  • compliance with modern labor market requirements;
  • relevance of educational components;
  • strengthening the practical component of training;
  • introduction of innovative approaches into the educational process.

In order to obtain feedback, a stakeholder survey was conducted. The results obtained will serve as a basis for further improvement of the educational and professional program and improvement of its quality.
