On May 11, 2026, the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University hosted an online guest lecture featuring Kateryna Molodyk Coordinator for Curriculum Development at the New Ukrainian School (NUS) Implementation Office under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Honored Teacher of Ukraine, and methodologist of the NGO “Vchysia.”
The event was moderated by Nadiia Vientseva and Mykola Overchenko.
During the lecture, lecturers and higher education students explored the ideas and values behind the NUS reform. The discussion focused on practical solutions: how the learning process is changing, what exactly is incorporated into educational programs, and how these changes influence both teachers and students; the logic behind the reform and why these particular approaches were chosen; what “education for life” looks like at the classroom level rather than only in theory; which tools help teachers work effectively in new conditions; and how to combine state educational policy, school realities, and the needs of learners.
During the meeting, Ms. Kateryna Molodyk also presented platforms that support the implementation of the NUS reform, while participants actively joined the discussion on both the advantages and challenges of its implementation.
The academic staff of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University will continue contributing to the development of a high-quality educational environment where future professionals can engage with the best Ukrainian educational practices, gain inspiration from practical experience, and help build a new Ukrainian education system humane, meaningful, and professional.
