On the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the full-scale war, an educational hour titled “A Place of Safety” was held at the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Human Health for academic staff and higher education students. The event was moderated by Nataliia Kryvun, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Choreography and Fitness at BDPU.
The event became a space for an open conversation about emotions, stress, and inner resources that help maintain psychological resilience during this challenging time for the country.
In a format of sincere dialogue, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, reflect on the path they have traveled, and identify the inner supports that sustain them today. Special attention was given to the importance of emotional awareness, accepting one’s feelings, and developing self-support skills.
A key task of the meeting was writing a letter to the version of oneself who was at the beginning of the full-scale invasion — from the perspective of a person who has already gone through a difficult journey and coped with numerous challenges. This practice enabled each participant to recognize their personal growth, feel their inner strength, and support themselves with words of faith and hope.
Holding this educational event on the anniversary of the full-scale war became an important step in fostering psychological resilience among teachers and students, as well as strengthening a sense of community, support, and trust even in an online format.
