From the classroom to the football field: practicing professionals in the training of future coaches

On December 10, 2025, a practical lesson on the OK “Professional activity in the field of physical culture and sports” was held for first-year higher education students of the specialty A7 “Physical Culture and Sports”. The lesson was conducted by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmila Konovalska with the involvement of practicing professionals – football coaches Grigory Nekrasov and Vitaliy Shachkov.

The lesson combined the theoretical provisions of the academic discipline with real experience in coaching. Students got acquainted with modern approaches to organizing the training process, the features of training young athletes and the requirements for the professional competencies of a coach.

The practical basis was examples from the participation of the FC “Novator” team in the “Vinnytsia Football Cup” tournament (December 4-7, 2025) among 16 teams of young men born in 2011. under the leadership of Grigory Nekrasov, the team performed in the Silver Liga.

During the practical session, game situations were analyzed, tactical actions in attack and defense, typical mistakes and team interactions were analyzed.

Special attention was paid to the psychological aspects of competitive activity and the role of the coach. A graduate of the BSPU, Vitaliy Shachkov, a representative of the Dnipro NFC, also joined the work, which allowed students to see different coaching approaches.

Higher education applicants were actively involved in the discussion, analyzed game episodes, asked questions and offered their own tactical solutions. This format of training contributes to the development of professional thinking, analytical skills and the formation of practically oriented training of future specialists in the field of physical culture and sports.
