The School of Leadership of BSPU in cooperation with the Department of Social Work and Inclusive Education organized an event on the topic “Human Resource Management: Skills of Modern Leaders.”

The meeting was held for students of the educational and professional programs “Post-war social and psychological reintegration” and “Post-war socio-psychological rehabilitation” within the framework of the course “Human resource management in state and non-governmental social institutions”.

The speaker of the event was Bohdan Tkachenko, Head of the Andriivka Village Military Administration of the Berdyansk District, Zaporizhzhia Region.

During the session, participants learned about the role of leadership skills in shaping an effective manager, the specifics of managing teams in public institutions, building trust, and fostering cooperation within a team.

The speaker shared his personal experience in strategic planning even under conditions of uncertainty, explaining how to maintain focus on all areas of community activity, identify priorities, and engage leaders at different levels in collaborative work. Special attention was paid to the organization of military administration activities and understanding why working with a team is no less important than working with the community.

Together with Bohdan Tkachenko, participants explored what motivates people to work more effectively, the mechanisms for retaining personnel potential, and how team building contributes to this process. The guest also emphasized the importance of cultural and educational initiatives in uniting both the community and the workforce, as well as highlighted the crucial role of social work professionals in maintaining stability and fostering social development.

The event was held in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 4: Quality Education
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
