On October 11, 2025, the city of Zaporizhzhia hosted the 13th All-Ukrainian Open Talent Festival-Competition MUZA, which brought together numerous participants from across Ukraine. Among them, the MarLen Pop Dance Ensemble — a People’s Amateur Collective of the Trade Unions of Ukraine from Berdyansk State Pedagogical University — gave a remarkable performance, presenting a touching solo piece titled Two Colors of Destiny.
The choreography was prepared by the ensemble’s dance teacher and choreographer, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Health (FFKSZL), and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Choreography and Fitness, Natalia Kryvun, whose creative work combined profound emotional content with refined movement expression.
The solo performer, Alina Shyp, a second-year student pursuing her first-level bachelor’s degree, impressed the audience with the sincerity of her performance, the elegance of her choreography, and her sensitive interpretation of the themes of life’s journey, love, and the choices that accompany every person.
The competition jury also highly appreciated the professional skill and emotional power of the performance — the solo piece Two Colors of Destiny was awarded First Place.
Participation of the MarLen ensemble in the Zaporizhzhia competition became another important milestone in the group’s creative development. Such events provide an excellent opportunity for young dancers to share their art, gain new experience, and draw inspiration for future achievements. Once again, the MarLen ensemble has confirmed its professionalism and love for dance.
