Meeting with Stakeholders and Discussion of Educational and Professional Programs in Specialty 081 “Law”

On March 27, 2026, a meeting of the working group was held to discuss proposals and feedback from stakeholders of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University regarding the educational and professional programs (EPP) in specialty 081 “Law” (First/Bachelor’s and Second/Master’s levels of higher education).

The discussion involved program guarantors, academic staff—members of the working group for program renewal and improvement—stakeholders (employers, legal practitioners, and partners), as well as current students and alumni involved in the curriculum development.

The urgency of refining the educational programs in “Law” is driven by the need to ensure high-quality training for competitive specialists capable of performing effectively amidst the modern challenges of the legal system. During the meeting, key aspects of future lawyers’ training were discussed, specifically the necessity to strengthen the practical component and update the content of specific educational modules to meet labor market demands and state standards.

Overall, the educational and professional programs for both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels were recognized as well-balanced in content, logically structured, and focused on developing high-level professional competencies.

Key recommendations and updates included. For the Bachelor’s level: Introducing the course “Military Law” to address contemporary societal demands and the requirements for legal regulation under martial law. For the Master’s level: Expanding the block of International Law disciplines, taking into account the requirements for the Unified State Qualification Exam (USQE/YeDKI) to enhance students’ professional readiness.
