On December 11th, the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University, Associate Professor Marina Bogdanova, together with a second-level higher education student majoring in Philology B11. «Ukrainian Language and Literature», Svitlana Myronenko, and Olga Parapanova, a specialist at the BSPU library, visited the Central City Library of Zaporizhzhia, located at 66 Gogol Street. During the visit, they had a productive meeting with Nelly Kramarenko, the director of the institution.
In a warm and constructive atmosphere, the parties discussed the wide range of opportunities for cooperation between the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the library. Particular attention was paid to organising joint meetings, thematic events, and activities that enabled higher education students and faculty members to participate actively.
An interesting prospect is cooperation within the framework of the “Read Forum” – a popular book festival that has been a real highlight of cultural life in Zaporizhzhia for many years.
In addition, such a partnership will provide master’s students in the new educational and scientific program D3 and B11 “Literary and Art Management” with an additional foundation for industrial practice, a crucial component of the program. Students will have the opportunity to participate in various events held at the city library and gain practical experience in organising cultural events.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation agreement that sets out their mutual obligations. It will contribute to the development of cultural life in the region, promote Ukrainian and foreign literature, and train a new generation of specialists in the fields of art and management.
Such an alliance between education and culture is an important step towards strengthening the intellectual potential of the Zaporizhzhia region.
