OPP Secondary Education (Music Art and English): Introducing first-year students to the features and advantages

In order to familiarize themselves with the peculiarities of the educational process of applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty A4.13 Secondary Education (Art. Music), the guarantor of the educational and professional program Secondary Education (Music and English) Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Viktoriia Hryhorieva held a meeting with first-year students.

The Guarantor focused the attention of applicants on the structure of the educational program, complex educational components, the logical sequence of their study, the number of ECTS credits, some for the implementation of the OPP. Freshmen were able to access and familiarize themselves with individual curricula and the profile of the educational program, noting its modernity and practice-oriented nature.

The relevance of the educational program was drawn to the attention of the head of the department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Buzova, noting its advantages and employment opportunities for graduates of the presented educational institution, taking into account the in-depth study of English during the study process.

The meeting focused on a set of general and professional competencies and expected learning outcomes, the mastery of which in aggregate will contribute to further professional prospects.

Applicants also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the documents of the higher education institution, which regulate the procedure for implementing the educational process on the official website of the BSPU and the features of forming an individual educational trajectory during their studies at the university. Students’ awareness of the university’s regulatory documents is an important element of their successful study, since they regulate the rights and obligations of applicants for education, emphasize compliance with the principles of academic integrity, explain the criteria for assessing academic achievements, the procedure for conducting exams, etc.
