The Department of Choreography and Fitness of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Human Health successfully conducted the final attestation of students pursuing the first (Bachelor’s) level of higher education in Specialty 024 Choreography, both full-time and part-time. This important stage marked the completion of the professional training of future choreographers and demonstrated a high level of development of their general and professional competencies required for further professional activity.
Particular attention should be paid to the fact that the attestation was conducted within a distance learning environment. Despite the challenges of the present day, the Department of Choreography and Fitness continues to provide high-quality professional training for students by actively implementing modern digital technologies and innovative approaches to the organization of the educational process.
The comprehensive qualification examination consisted of theoretical and practical components. The theoretical part involved completing test assignments on the Moodle educational platform, covering a wide range of professional-cycle disciplines and enabling an assessment of the future choreographers’ theoretical knowledge.
The practical component was aimed at evaluating the graduates’ methodological, performance, and choreographic competencies. During the first practical task, students demonstrated their performance skills in Classical Dance and Ukrainian Folk Stage Dance, as well as presented a methodological analysis of exercise combinations, confirming their readiness for pedagogical activity.
The second practical task focused on presenting the results of choreographic production work. Graduates showcased collective choreographic performances, defended their production concepts, justified their artistic vision of the performances, and presented video demonstrations of selected dance excerpts from the productions.
The Final Attestation Commission included Associate Professor Yuliia Taranenko and Senior Lecturer Natalia Kryvun, while the Chair of the Commission was Tetiana Furmanova, Head of the Education Department of the Berdiansk City Council in Zaporizhzhia Region. She highly appreciated the organization of the final attestation, the thorough professional training of the students, and the relevance of the educational and professional program. In her address, she emphasized that modern educational institutions require creative, adaptable, and competent specialists capable of working effectively under new conditions and contributing to the development of arts education. Special attention was given to the practical orientation of the training process, the students’ capacity for creative thinking, and their ability to implement their own artistic projects.
The members of the Examination Commission noted the graduates’ strong professional preparation, creative initiative, ability to carry out independent artistic and production activities, and capacity to combine performance excellence with pedagogical and choreographic competencies.
The results of the final attestation once again confirmed that, even within a distance learning format, the Department of Choreography and Fitness successfully fulfills its educational mission by preparing competitive, creative, and professionally competent specialists capable of advancing the choreographic art of Ukraine and representing it with dignity in the international cultural arena.
We congratulate the graduates on the successful completion of their studies and wish them inspiration, creative achievements, professional growth, and new accomplishments on their artistic journey!
