An informational and introductory meeting dedicated to the activities of the Educational Psychological-Consultative Laboratory (EPCL) was held at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University. The event primarily aimed to present psychological support opportunities to first-year students, as well as to remind senior students, academic faculty, and staff about available support resources under martial law. Head of the Laboratory and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Viktoriia Fedoryk, detailed the key areas of EPCL’s work – psychological diagnostics, counseling, education, and correction.
During the presentation, special attention was given to the operation of the supportive psychological channel «Psychologist & I», which serves as an effective platform for daily mental health recovery. Participants were introduced to various features of the channel, including self-help techniques, daily practices, motivational messages, self-diagnostics, useful art-therapeutic and reflective exercises, as well as curated literature and movie recommendations. Students and faculty learned how the channel’s interactive environment allows them to receive feedback, ask questions, and reflect on their emotions in a safe space.
In addition, participants were reminded of the schedule and format for receiving individual psychological assistance. The Laboratory operates systematically, offering both informational support via text messaging and full individual online consultations by appointment. The meeting concluded with warm words reminding everyone that taking care of one’s mental health is key to successful studying, working, and resilience, and that the online doors of the EPCL are always open to every participant in the educational process.
