On 6 May 2026, the Faculty of Preschool, Special and Social Education hosted an online reporting conference summarizing the results of the correctional and developmental (internship) practice completed by master’s students of the A6 Special Education programme. The event marked the completion of an important stage in the professional training of future specialists, as practical training is a key component of the educational process, ensuring the integration of theoretical knowledge with real professional conditions. During the internship, Master’s students worked in various types of educational institutions and inclusive resource centres, where they had the opportunity to explore the specifics of organizing correctional and developmental support for individuals with special educational needs.

Throughout their practical training, students not only observed professionals at work but also actively engaged in the educational process. They conducted speech and language assessments, developed individual and small-group correctional sessions, and analyzed the effectiveness of modern methods and technologies, including innovative educational tools. Particular attention was given to the creation of an inclusive educational environment, assessing its accessibility, and developing proposals for its improvement.

An important area of activity was the establishment of partnership-based interaction with parents, teachers, and other specialists, which is a crucial component of psychological and pedagogical support for children with special educational needs. Students also carried out elements of research work, summarized their findings, and prepared materials for academic presentations.

During the reporting conference, Master’s students presented the results of their work, shared practical insights, challenges, and professional discoveries. The discussion demonstrated their ability to critically reflect on their own activities, provide well-reasoned pedagogical decisions, and show readiness to work within the framework of modern inclusive education.

The conference once again confirmed that internship practice is not a formal stage of education, but a vital factor in shaping competent, responsible, and creative professionals. It plays a key role in developing the professional identity of future speech therapists and special education teachers, preparing them to meet the challenges of today’s educational environment.
