On March 27–29, the VIII International multi-genre two-round Competition-Festival “Spivohrai” was held online.
The organizers of the Competition-Festival “Spivohrai” were Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts, and the Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching Artistic Disciplines.
The aim and objectives of the Competition-Festival:
Students of artistic specialties of higher education institutions, choreographic and theatrical groups, pupils of general education schools, colleges, children’s music schools, art schools, youth centers, studios, and creative groups took part in the Competition-Festival.
The Competition-Festival “Spivohrai” was held in the following nominations:
Music Art: instrumental genre, vocal genre, composition, artistic and creative project.
Theatre Art: dramatic, variety, academic, and puppet genres.
Choreographic Art: folk stage dance; classical dance; contemporary choreography (modern dance, jazz dance, modern-jazz dance, contemporary dance); ballroom dance; oriental dance.
The jury of the Competition-Festival consisted of leading experts in the field of arts, university lecturers, representatives of art education from Ukraine, Poland, Canada, China, and England, as well as Honored Workers of Culture and People’s Artists of Ukraine.
Chair of the Jury:
Liudmyla Pankiv, Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Instrumental Performance, Orchestral Conducting and Art Pedagogy, Faculty of Arts named after Anatolii Avdiievskyi, Ukrainian State University named after Mykhailo Drahomanov.
Theatre Art nomination:
Hanna Aleksandrova – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature and Comparative Literary Studies.
Maryna Bohdanova – Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, teacher of artistic reading and organizer of theatrical productions and improvisation training.
Lidiia Lymarenko – Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Culture and Arts of Kherson State University, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine.
Choreographic Art nomination:
Yuliia Taranenko – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Choreography and Fitness of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.
Tetiana Furmanova – Senior Lecturer of the Department of Choreography and Fitness, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.
Yurii Syvokon – specialist in classical dance, higher education teacher, active member of the professional choreographic community.
Kseniia Korotkevych – PhD, laureate of the Kyiv Pectoral Award, member of the Choreographic Union of Ukraine.
Music Art (Instrumental):
Yaroslaw Chacinski – Doctor of Humanities, Professor, Head of the Department of Music Art at Pomeranian University in Słupsk (Poland).
Viktor Zamashniuk – Senior Lecturer, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.
Volodymyr Velychko – Senior Lecturer, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.
Nataliia Yablunovska – Director of Znamianka Children’s Music School named after M. Lysenko.
Wang Yongjie – Associate Professor (China), pianist.
Hu Tintin – Associate Professor (China), pianist.
Huang Jiangyi – Head of Piano Department (China), pianist.
Music Art (Vocal):
Olena Buzova – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor.
Mariia Klepar – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor.
Serhii Domin – People’s Artist of Ukraine, Associate Professor.
Alla Postolatii – singer, pianist, choirmaster, conductor of the Ukrainian choir “Shchedryk” (UK).
Music Art (Artistic Project, Composition):
Tetiana Stratan-Artyshkova – Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.
Olena Shevtsova – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor.
Elena Zubko – RCM Certified Piano/Music Theory Teacher, Director and Owner of “Slavic Music School” (Canada).
A total of 172 participants took part in the Competition-Festival.
In the Music Art nomination (instrumental, vocal, ensemble, artistic and creative project, composition), students of higher education institutions of Ukraine (soloists, duets, trios, ensembles) demonstrated a high level of professional training. These included representatives of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Chernihiv Collegium National University named after T. H. Shevchenko, Poltava V. H. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Rivne State University of Humanities, Kherson State University, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Kremenets Regional Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, and others.
Students of professional colleges also showed strong performance, including Vinnytsia Professional College of Arts named after M. D. Leontovych, Rivne Music Professional College, and Kamianske Music College named after M. Skoryk.
High-level musical performance was also demonstrated by pupils of general and specialized educational institutions (children’s music schools, art schools, studios, and creative groups) from various regions of Ukraine.
Participants from Lithuania, Slovakia, China, and the USA (NJ) also actively took part and demonstrated a high level of instrumental and vocal performance.
In the Choreographic Art nomination, solo and group performances showcased creativity, originality, and a high level of stage culture.
In the Theatre Art nomination, participants demonstrated strong acting skills, stage culture, expressive performance, and originality of directing decisions.
According to the results of the Competition-Festival, winners were determined in each nomination. Grand Prix, Laureates of I, II, and III degrees were awarded. Certificates of appreciation were presented to jury members, teachers, and leaders of creative groups. A high level of preparation of participants in all nominations was noted.
The Competition-Festival “Spivohrai” contributed to the development of creative abilities, formation of stage and performance culture, promotion of Ukrainian and world art, and strengthening artistic and creative communication between higher education institutions, schools, extracurricular institutions, and creative groups.
