On December 4, 2025, students of educational and professional programs of specialties A4.11 Secondary Education (Physical Education) and A7 Physical Education and Sports of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University joined the round table “Development of Zaporizhzhia Sports and Paralympians”, dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The event was held at the Max Grant House (Zaporizhzhya) and brought together representatives of the sports community, authorities, Paralympians, coaches and youth.
The participation of students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Human Health in such an event became an important element of professional training and contributed to the deepening of knowledge in such academic disciplines as “Theory and Methodology of Paralympic Sports”, “Theory and Methodology of Adaptive Physical Education and Sports”, “Olympic and Professional Sports”, “Sports Games with Teaching Methods”.
Future specialists in physical education and sports got acquainted with modern trends in inclusive sports and heard the opinions of specialists on the training of athletes with disabilities.
Students listened to speeches by representatives of the city authorities, managers and specialists in the field of invasport, coaches in adaptive sports, mental coaches and multiple Paralympic champions.
A student of the specialty A7 “Physical Education and Sports” of the Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Marianna Pavlik, took part in the round table, who presented a report on the features of the game of bocce and the prospects for its development in Zaporizhia.
Participation in the round table allowed students to deepen their professional competencies, gain practical knowledge in adaptive sports, and form a modern vision of the development of sports for people with disabilities.
The Department of Physical Education, Sports and Teaching Methods expresses its gratitude to all stakeholders: the Charitable Organization “ZBF “EOTC Mazal Tov” and the club “Equal Opportunities”, as well as all coaches, Paralympic champions, speakers and volunteers for the organization and fruitful cooperation during this important event.
