The Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching Artistic Disciplines of BSPU Presents the Creative Project “Musical Masters of Vinnytsia Region”

The compositional activity of artists originating from the Vinnytsia region is a vivid example of the development of musical art. These composers were closely connected with the Ukrainian musical heritage; they were artists who developed Ukrainian choral and instrumental music, folkloristics, and music pedagogy in the region.

These include Mykola Leontovych, Petro Nishchynskyi, and Rodion Skaletskyi. Among contemporary composers, it is worth noting Eduard Brylin, Oleh Reztsov, Heorhii Kurkov, and many others.

It is impossible not to mention many outstanding creators and composers who worked in the Vinnytsia region: Kyrylo Stetsenko, Yakiv Stepovyi, Myroslav Skoryk, Levko Revutskyi, Viktor Kosenko, Volodymyr Ivasiuk, Iryna Kyrylina, Hennadii Biliavskyi, and Dmytro Shurov.

All these composers have made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian music and world culture.
