On June 15, the Berdyansk State Pedagogical University hosted a reporting conference on educational and practical training for 2nd and 3rd year students of the Journalism major. The event was held remotely and was aimed at discussing the results of the practical work of future media professionals, as well as analyzing the features of work in the modern information space.
The practical work was supervised by experienced teachers of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism, Associate Professors Anzhelika Shulzhenko, Roman Kostromytskyi and Natalia Rula. During the online meeting, the mentors provided students with comprehensive recommendations on the quality preparation of journalistic materials of various genres, discussed in detail the rules for forming a professional portfolio, and told how to effectively improve practical skills in the conditions of the real media market.
The teachers paid special attention to the subtleties of writing notes, strict adherence to the standards of information journalism (objectivity, balance of opinions, accuracy and separation of facts from comments), as well as the general development of professional competencies. Students had a great opportunity to ask questions to the practice leaders, analyze typical mistakes and receive individual consultations on the implementation of their creative tasks.
Conducting educational and industrial practices is a fundamental component of the preparation of future sharks of the pen. Such meetings help to successfully combine a solid theoretical base obtained within the walls of the university with real skills that are critically important for a successful start in the profession.
