Development of Academic Culture: Joint Meeting of the Departments of the Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy” of the Kharkiv Regional Council and Berdyansk State Pedagogical University

As part of the fruitful cooperation between our institutions, a scientific and methodological event took place.

The Departments of Musical and Instrumental Teacher Training and Vocal and Choral Teacher Training held a joint meeting with colleagues from Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching Artistic Disciplines).

The key topic of the meeting was the discussion of standards and practices of academic integrity in the modern educational environment.

The participants focused on the following aspects:

• Implementation of ethical principles in the training of future music teachers.
• Methods of preventing plagiarism in students’ creative and research works.
• Creation of a transparent environment during the certification (assessment) of students.

The joint work confirmed the importance of a unified approach to academic standards, which contributes to improving the quality of arts education in Ukraine.
