At the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Human Health of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University, the first round of the beauty and talent contest «Miss University 2026» took place. The event brought together the brightest, most talented, and most charismatic female students of the faculty.

This year, five contestants took part in the first round: second-year students of the first (Bachelor’s) level of higher education, specialty 024 Choreography – Oleksandra Bartoshevych and Alina Shyp; a third-year student of the same specialty – Valeriia Mordvinova; a fourth-year student of the first (Bachelor’s) level, specialty 017 Physical Culture and Sports – Alina Kartasheva; and a first-year student of the second (Master’s) level, specialty A7 Physical Culture and Sports – Yelyzaveta Baluieva.

The first stage of the contest was held in the format of online presentations titled «Business Card of Resilience». The participants prepared video presentations lasting up to 2-3 minutes, in which they spoke about themselves, their talents, and interests. Special attention was given to how they maintain their connection with the university despite the distance, as well as presenting their active civic engagement during this challenging time for the country – including volunteering, studying, and creative work during the war.

The jury was headed by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Serhii Kushniruk. The jury also included: Deputy Dean for Academic and Methodological Work, Associate Professor Liudmyla Konovalska; Deputy Dean for Scientific and International Activities, Associate Professor Vitalii Hnatiuk; Deputy Dean for Educational Work, Senior Lecturer Nataliia Kryvun; Head of the Department of Biology, Human Health and Physical Rehabilitation, Professor Svitlana Khatuntseva; Head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Teaching Methods, Associate Professor Nataliia Polishchuk; Head of the Department of Choreography and Fitness, Associate Professor Yuliia Taranenko; Associate Professor of the Department of Biology, Human Health and Physical Rehabilitation Nataliia Pshenychna; Senior Lecturer of the same department Iryna Rastorhuieva; Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Teaching Methods Nataliia Samsutina; Senior Lecturer of the same department Vadym Samoilenko; and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Choreography and Fitness Tetiana Furmanova.

According to the results of the competition, Oleksandra Bartoshevych won the first round, impressing the jury with her sincerity, depth of presentation, and bright individuality.

The winner will proceed to the next stage of the contest, where she will represent the faculty at the university level. We wish Oleksandra success and new achievements!
