From Idea to Implementation: Outcomes of the Student Section of Higher Education Students in Specialty C4 Psychology

As part of the Science Festival 2026, on May 12 the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts hosted the student scientific section “Modern Psychological Science in the Interpretation of Young Researchers” for higher education students majoring in Specialty C4 Psychology.

Participants of the scientific section were welcomed by the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Iryna Cherezova, who emphasized that students’ research activities are an integral component of higher education, ensuring thorough professional training, the development of creative thinking, and the formation of competitive specialists.

The research findings presented by students highlighted current issues in modern psychological science and practice, including:

  • development of emotional intelligence in primary school children (Kateryna Sylka, m12P, academic supervisor – Associate Professor Nataliia Serdiuk);
  • psychological factors influencing motivation for online foreign language learning among senior school students (Oleksandr Vrubel, m118Pz, academic supervisor – Senior Lecturer Hanna Lysak);
  • psychological features of resilience in adulthood during wartime (Pavlo Moskalov, 403Pz, academic supervisor – Associate Professor Iryna Cherezova);
  • the role of emotional intelligence in the development of conflict management competence (Anna Khrystych, 22P, academic supervisor – Associate Professor Iryna Cherezova);
  • development of stress resistance in women experiencing forced migration abroad (Tetiana Rastorhuieva, 403Pz, academic supervisor – PhD in Pedagogy Oksana Strilchuk);
  • results of an empirical study on the impact of music therapy on stress conditions among students of professional pre-higher education (Oleksii Myrovskyi, m118Pz, academic supervisor – Senior Lecturer Viktoriia Fedoryk);
  • communicative self-regulation in pedagogical communication (Anastasiia Romina, 207Pz, academic supervisor – Associate Professor Tetiana Makarova);
  • key psychological factors in the functioning of non-governmental organizations in Ukraine under martial law (Zhanna Rempel, m115Pz, academic supervisor – Associate Professor Yevheniia Kocherha);
  • psychological hygiene during wartime: the role of life values in preventing compassion fatigue (Iryna Telelym, m108Pz, academic supervisor – Associate Professor Yevheniia Kocherha);
  • metaphorical cards as a tool for awareness and authentic self-expression (Tetiana Kravchuk, m112Pz, academic supervisor – Associate Professor Yevheniia Kocherha).

The best scientific presentations were recognized as those of Pavlo Moskalov, a fourth-year bachelor’s student (academic supervisor – Associate Professor Iryna Cherezova), and Oleksii Myrovskyi, a first-year master’s student (academic supervisor – Senior Lecturer Viktoriia Fedoryk).

Section participants were awarded certificates from the Dean of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts, as well as letters of appreciation from the Rector of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (BSPU) for the best student scientific presentations.
