As part of the traditional Science Days, another meeting of the scientific and practical club “Formation of Professional Competence of Future Psychologists” was held under the supervision of Senior Lecturer of the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Psychological, Pedagogical Education and Arts, Viktoriia Fedoryk. The topic of the meeting addressed a pressing issue in modern higher education — “Artificial Intelligence in the Focus of Science: A Guide to Legalizing a Digital Assistant.” The purpose of the event was to familiarize future psychologists with new standards of academic integrity and the rules for transparent use of technology in scientific research.
During the meeting, higher education students reviewed the university’s regulatory framework on academic integrity, particularly the Appendix to Order No. 39 dated September 18, 2025, approved by the decision of the Academic Council of BSPU. This document regulates the mandatory disclosure of generative artificial intelligence contributions in academic papers, which is a necessary condition for maintaining a high level of trust in scientific results.
Special attention was paid to the GAIDET taxonomy (Generative AI Delegation Taxonomy) — a structured approach that enables authors to clearly specify which tasks (such as literature search, translation, or data analysis) were delegated to algorithms under full human supervision. Club participants also explored the workflow of the online tool GAIDET Declaration Generator, which helps quickly generate a declaration text regarding AI use.
During the discussion, an important ethical and professional aspect of using artificial intelligence was emphasized: AI tools cannot be listed as co-authors and do not bear responsibility for the final outcome. Full responsibility for the content and final editing of research rests exclusively with the human author.
Transparent declaration of AI use is a step toward building a mature and responsible academic community of future psychologists.
