On May 12, 2026, within the framework of the Science Days of the Faculty of Psychological, Pedagogical Education and Arts, the Department of Theory and Methodology of Artistic Disciplines held a meeting of the student scientific section “Theoretical and Methodological Aspects of Art Education in General Secondary and Higher Education Institutions” for students majoring in A4.13 Secondary Education (Art. Musical Art).

The students presented their own scientific research conducted under the supervision of the department’s lecturers. The presentations addressed актуal issues of music pedagogy, teaching methodology, and the development of students’ creative abilities. The atmosphere of the event was filled with the energy of young researchers, their desire to experiment, and their aspiration to discover new horizons in the field of art education. Particularly valuable is the fact that such events help to build a community where future teachers and artists can exchange ideas, receive support from lecturers, and actively engage in scientific dialogue.

Among the student presentations in this section were interdisciplinary reports, which added special significance to the event. The combination of music with other forms of art and modern technologies opens new opportunities for the development of creativity and pedagogical mastery of future teachers: interactive methodologies, multimedia tools, and the use of digital platforms. Such approaches not only expand the professional boundaries of future educators but also bring them closer to modern children who live in a world of technology and creative solutions. The approaches presented in the reports may become the basis for updating educational programs that combine traditional musical values with innovative forms of presentation.

During the presentations, master’s students demonstrated practical examples of integrated lessons and performances in which music was combined with theatrical art and choreography, making their research even more valuable. Such projects allow children not only to listen to or perform music, but also to experience it through movement, play, and emotional expression.

This opens the way to creating holistic art lessons in primary school, where pupils can simultaneously develop musical hearing, artistry, and creative imagination. Such integrated approaches foster in children a sense of harmony between different forms of art and help educate them as active participants in the cultural process.

At the end of the meeting, according to the results of the student Google voting, the best presentation was recognized as the report by Yuliianiia Kravtsevych, a second-level (Master’s) higher education student of group M104MM-z, on the topic “Formation of Emotional and Volitional Self-Regulation of Students in Piano Class.”
