A New Generation of Hospitality Managers: Results of the Bachelor’s Qualification Thesis Defenses

At Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, the defense of qualification theses was held for students pursuing the first (Bachelor’s) level of higher education in Specialty 073 Management under the Educational and Professional Program “Management of Hotel, Resort and Tourism Services”.

The defense marked the culmination of several years of study and an important stage in the professional development of future specialists in hospitality, tourism, and service industries. During the meeting of the Examination Board, graduates demonstrated solid knowledge, well-developed professional competencies, analytical thinking skills, and the ability to apply modern management approaches to addressing current challenges faced by enterprises in the hotel, resort, and tourism sectors.

The topics of the qualification theses focused on current issues in the development of the service industry and covered such areas as human capital management in service enterprises, improvement of restaurant service management systems in hotel businesses, staff motivation in travel companies, service quality management in the hotel industry, development of marketing strategies for service enterprises, as well as the strategic development of hotel enterprises under contemporary challenges.

The presented studies were characterized by their relevance, practical orientation, and alignment with modern trends in the hospitality industry. In their presentations, students demonstrated the ability to analyze business operations, substantiate managerial decisions, and develop recommendations aimed at improving the efficiency of hospitality and tourism organizations.

The members of the Examination Board highly appreciated the level of graduates’ training, noting their academic engagement, professional maturity, and readiness for further practical activities.
