Vice-rector for scientific work of BSPU Yana Sychikova is the speaker of the discussion platform “Institutional policies of applying AI in action: experience, challenges, solutions”.

The discussion became the final stage of the educational initiative “Winter AI School 2026”.

The event took place within the framework of the scientific study “Tendency vs. innovation in the development of the content of teacher training in emerging contexts of the 21st century”.

The organizer is the Department of Foreign Systems of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of the Ivan Zyazyun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, with the support of the UNESCO Department “Continuous Professional Education of the 21st Century” of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Berdyansk State Pedagogical University is among the co-organizers.

Yana Sychikova’s speech is devoted to the problem of regulating the use of generative artificial intelligence in the university environment: in the educational process and in scientific research. The issue becomes relevant in the context of the growing number of language AI models and, conversely, the lack of “clear and agreed standards for their responsible use”.

According to the speaker, the key principles of institutional policies are and should be:

  • transparency of disclosure of AI contributions;
  • standardized declarations for such works;
  • development of “AI literacy”;
  • introduction of metadata on the use of artificial intelligence into scientific publication systems.

A solution that will maintain public trust in science and integrate AI capabilities into the scientific and educational sphere without loss of quality and responsibility is GAIDeT – a taxonomy of task delegation specifically for scientific research and publications.

GAIDeT was the first in Ukraine to use Karazin medical journals, GAIDeT on the front pages of Times Higher Education, Future Campus, Leiden Madtrics, Research Professional News – world academic media and blogs.

The discussion platform is designed to promote the development of modern ways to regulate the use of generative artificial intelligence in the industry.

Event materials – recordings of speeches – are available on the web portal of the UNESCO Chair “Continuous Professional Education for the 21st Century”.
