The academic staff of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance – Associate Professors Kateryna Lemish, Tetiana Sydorchenko, and Senior Lecturers Olena Zadvornа and Viktoriia Shvachko – successfully completed the specialized professional development program “AI Academy for Educators from Google 2.0”, held from October 29 to November 21, 2025.

This initiative, organized by Google, aims to enhance university lecturers’ knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and generative technologies for teaching, research, and administrative tasks.

The program covered key areas essential for economic and financial education:

  • integrating AI into the educational process: development of innovative curricula and materials using modern AI solutions;
  • enhancing research efficiency: applying AI to analyze large sets of economic data, forecast financial risks, and model managerial decisions;
  • creating interactive content: improving the preparation of lectures, seminars, and practical classes.

Successful completion of the program has been confirmed with official Google certificates. These new competencies will not only modernize academic courses but also equip students with the most relevant skills demanded by today’s labor market.

  • Thanks to the acquired expertise, the department’s lecturers have already begun integrating elements of artificial intelligence into educational components, which will provide students with:
  • practical experience working with advanced AI tools used in the fields of management and finance;
  • a deeper understanding of how technology transforms the modern economy;
  • strong competitiveness upon graduation.

The department continues to follow its course of innovation and ongoing professional development to ensure the highest quality training within the educational programs: Management, Organizational Management, Hotel, Resort and Tourism Service Management, Finance, Banking and Insurance, and Business Economics.
