The modern cultural landscape requires not only talented artists, but also professional managers capable of turning ideas into successful projects. It is at the intersection of academic knowledge and real-world practice that a powerful partnership has emerged: the collaboration between the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Municipal Institution “Cultural and Art Centre” of the Boyarka City Council in the Kyiv region.
Berdyansk State Pedagogical University has signed an official cooperation agreement with the centre, enabling students on the new Master’s programme in ‘Literature and Arts Management’ to undertake their first-ever remote work placement this spring at the Boyarka City Council’s ‘Cultural and Art Centre’. The master’s students were given the opportunity not only to observe the centre’s operations but also to study its documentation, familiarise themselves with its organisation, and learn about the specific nature of such an institution’s cooperation with the local community. A key role in helping the young professionals acquire new skills and competencies was played by the director of the Cultural and Arts Centre, Tetiana Ivanova, with whom the programme’s guarantor, Hanna Tabakova, held a personal meeting. Tetyana Stanislavivna’s many years of experience (over 20 years in the role) and her deep understanding of the sector’s specifics served as a reliable guide for the postgraduate students.
The collaboration between the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the centre is not limited to practical training alone. Ahead lie ambitious plans for the joint development of projects in the field of literary and arts management.
